23-year-old Jasmine Villasana launched her vehicle over a tollbooth
after hitting the concrete lane divider.
The driver and her vehicle flew over the tollbooth – and
over a vehicle already in the lane paying a toll – and landed
on the other side of the booth shortly after 6 am Tuesday morning.
The driver told police she had been rear-ended as she was approaching
the toll plaza and that the collision caused her vehicle to strike
the protector barricade.
After landing, the woman's car burst into flames. She was able
to get out safely, but police said she kept trying to get back
into the vehicle while it was on fire.
