| An 82-year-old Madison man boasts his Christmas decorations tops
New York City's most famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.
16 years ago, Doctor Jack Kammer hung the first string of lights
on a barrier of trees that stretches more than three football
fields long in Madison.
Over the years, dozens of volunteers helped the doctor keep the
tradition alive.
All that holiday cheer comes at a price: it costs between $10,000
and $11,000 a year to keep the display going.
That includes paying for electricity and replacing bad strings
of lights.
