My name is Jennifer Bazar, and I live in Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada. I am Gus Wickstrom's step-daughter. I see that on your website you have his weather predictions so I think that you must be fans. It is with great difficulty and sadness I feel like I should inform you of his passing. He passed on May 30, 2007 at 3:25pm in the pressence of family at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary Alberta.

He was admitted to the hospital on April 13, 2007 with double pneumonia, and with very extreme complications. It was a 6 week battle for dad, but he did pass peacefully.

I am not very good at this, as all is so new and difficult right now, but if you google "Gus Wickstrom" there is some correct information there. Although he was so well known and so loved there are more than 70 direct hits! There was an article written by John Cotter in Edmonton that has been picked up by most news agencies.

The service (or celebration of his life as we called it) was held in Tompkins on Saturday, with a keg of beer for the wake that followed at his house in Tompkins and went on into the very late hours! I will miss him dearly as will so many, but as I thought that since you were his fans you should know.
