In less than three months, some friends have finished what
they hope is a record-breaking igloo at a Bellevue duplex.
After 14 inches of snow fell in early December in Paul Steckart's
backyard, he and some friends began to build the dome-shaped shelter,
dubbed the "Bigloo," out of hard 80-pound blocks of
snow and ice
At about 27 feet in diameter and 17 feet 4 inches in height,
the Bigloo may be large enough to make it into Guinness World
Records. The current record was set in Canada in 2008 with an
igloo 13 feet 8 inches tall and 25 feet 9 inches wide. |
