| When Dede was 15, he cut his knee in an accident.
A small wart grew on his lower leg, and (since he suffers from
an extremely rare immune system deficiency) his body couldn't
fight off the infection. The warts soon spread across his entire
body.
Within two years, Dede's hands and feet were almost entirely
covered in warts, which made his limbs look more like tree roots
than body parts. Since he couldn't work anymore, his ex-wife took
their two kids and left.
In the last year, Dede has had four operations to remove the
growths, and so far, FOUR pounds of warts have been removed from
his body. For the first time in over ten years, he can see the
outline of his hands and feet.
In three months, Dede will have another operation. When that's
completed, he hopes to find a job, and eventually he'd like to
get remarried and have kids.
