On Rock River at 6:30 for free. Has spectacular falls during the show.

Maquoketa Caves and Indian Mounds: Maquoketa, IA
Several Caves for standing and kneeling heights

Discovery Center: Clinton, IA
2-3 dollars. Adults can play too. (501 11th Ave before Hy-Vee)

Quad City Hobby and Raceway:
Largest H.O. racetrack for slot cars (7 tracks). Right across from Brady St. Stadium in LaSalle electronics building. 6 dollars/hour and 10 dollars to rent a car. Radio controlled inside track for electric cars.

Field of Dreams and Eartl Toy Factory: Dyersville, IA

Chestnut Mountain Park: Galena, IL

Wildcat Den:
Take highway 22 toward Muscatine about 25 minutes from Davenport. Old mill and old school with creek kids can swim in. Entertainment on some weekends with old time music throughout summer. Also have caves and trails.

Magic Show on Brady Street, Davenport, IA
Couple times a week or just visit the magic shop.

House on the Rocks or Cave of the Mounds
Cool cave (literally) with cool colors formed from ice formations

Loud Thunder Forest Preserve: Illinois City, IL
Rent boats to cruise Lake George to fish or paddle boat and you can hike trails. Boat rentals have kayaks, canoes, and flat bottom boats with motors and paddle boats.

Pine View Cabins: Keithsburg, IL
Can rent horse (Clydesdales) and you can ride through Big River State Forest. They have a fire pit and a pool table for overnight staying.

Showboat Theatre: Clinton, IA
Children's theatre show every Saturday through August 20 at noon. Cost is $4 and main stage show tickets are $8 and $15. Theatre is on the riverfront next to Mississippi Belle II.

Local Lowe's home improvement store:
Demonstration days for adults and have activities for kids. They get to built things, wear goggles, paint and other children activities.

Fireworks: Moline, IL
Have kids create your own critter. You stuff and design your own critter (stuffed animal).

Appleby's Canoe Rental: Maquoketa, IA
A trip about 9 miles down a shallow river.  You can take a cooler and rent intertubes.

Bike Trails:
Find a bike trail near your house.  In Davenport, there is one right next to the river.

Wacky Waters:
Spend the day at Wacky Waters, just north of Davenport or go to a different local pool every week.
