Children of Fallen Soldiers Legacy Ride
When: Saturday May 17, 2008
Where: VFW / American Legion in Bettendorf, IA
The Bettendorf American Legion Riders, Chapter 154, will be
hosting a fund Raising Memorial Run in support of the Legacy
Scholarship.
Registration is from 10:00am to 12:30pm at the VFW / American
Legion Bettendorf, Iowa, with a donation of $10 per person.
The ride will end at American Legion in Milan, Illinois with
last bike in at 6:00pm.
"These children are the direct descendants of people who
died protecting our country", stated Robert Chitwood, President
of the Legion Riders Chapter, "and helping to provide an
education is a powerful way to show our thanks".

Texas Hold 'Em Tournament and Poker Run
Benefit for Laurie Mueting

Laurie was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct 2005. After
going through several surgeries and 7 months of chemotherapy
she was hopeful that she had seen the last of this disease.
Fifteen months later she found herself facing it again - this
time the cancer had spread into her lymphnodes. Since then,
Laurie has undergone another surgery, radiation therapy and
more chemotherapy which doctors say will continue through November
of this year. As you can imagine, Lauries has had to miss a
lot of work and has incurred huge medical expenses. Please help
us lift some of this burden from her and her family so she can
focus on getting well.
Taco dinner provided by Azteca. Raffles, 50/50 drawings, Texas
Hold 'Em Tournament (must be 18) starting at 2pm. $20 buy-in,
no rebuys. Poker Run from 10am-5pm starting at Leisure Time.
$10 per rider, sign in between 10am-noon, last bike out at noon.

“Friends of Mick” Fundraiser

Mick Verschorre was recently diagnosed with cancer. This fundraiser
will help with medical and living expenses. Join the Verschorre
family and friends for spaghetti dinner, live bands, a silent

Check in at 1 hour prior to tee time. Tee times start at 9:30
a.m.; First tee time available as sealed bid (all bids must
be submitted by May 15th to be considered and do not include
entry fees).
Goodie bag for each golfer! Chance for prizes! Dinner, silent
auction and prizes awarded following golf!
Entry Fee $75 per player/$300 for foursome (Includes Cart and

Kristie Hosch Family Benefit
Kristie Hosch was 29 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Her
cancer is a very aggressive one and now at age 35 she is undergoing
treatment for bone cancer along with cancer of the brain, liver and lungs.
Kristie and her husband have two young daughters and her one wish is to
take her family to Disney World in Florida. Her close friends have decided
to make this dream happen for Kristie and split the costs of the trip. We
need your help though. We want them to be able to enjoy this trip without

Raffle Tickets for 9 second Mustang
Jacob Littrell's was diagnosed with cancer and he knew that his time was
limited to make the dream of running his Mustang down the track at Cordova
and achieve a decent time come true. Jeff Stealy took on the project but
cancer cut Jacob's dream short just 3 weeks before Jeff put the final
touches on the 9 second car. Jacob's dream Mustang is now being raffled
off with all proceeds going to his parents. There are 500 tickets
available at $100 each. Drawing will take place when all tickets have been
